I am so excited about today's post! Occasionally I get the idea to take one polish and layer it over another. Most of the time I don't like how it turns out and I end up taking it off. THIS. This combination is to die for. Shower Together by China Glaze is a beautiful teal-ish blue cream on its own, but when you put a layer of Barielle Buddha-ful over it something magical happens! just look at these pictures! As always, more after the break.

Hello lovelies, and happy Monday. This unique beauty you see here is Orly's Fowl Play and it's from their Birds of a Feather collection. Fowl Play is a dark purple jelly packed with iridescent flakies and specks of blue glitter. Great formula on this one. Orly Bonder, 2 coats, and Seche Vite to top it all off.

Some Like it Haute
I don't know what the deal is with the weather. One day it's pushing 70 degrees outside and the next day it's in the 30s. I am so ready for Spring!

Lav-ish
Saturday! I live for the weekend, but don't we all? Anyway, on to the polish! Today I want to share with you guys one of my favorite polishes from Ulta. It's Lav-ish and it is a gorgeous dusty purple jelly polish with scattered gold micro glitter. This is a polish I didn't expect to adore as much as a do. The consistency was great, 2 coats and you are ready for the top coat. It's a great color for in the office. What do you think? More pics after the jump!

I Know What Boys Like
Well, maybe not really..... But I do know what I like, and it's this polish! Deborah Lippmann is another polish brand that costs a little more than the average polish you find at CVS or Target. This polish is wonderful. Highly pigmented, easy to apply, and free all of the stuff that dries our nails out. I Know What Boys Like is a muted burple cream that dries to an almost plastic color. Consistency was great and you could easily get away with one coat! Check out more pictures after the jump!

Sugar High
Aside from painting my nails I love baking. My boyfriends birthday was back in February and he requested a peanut butter cake. I'm originally from Ohio and moved to Pennsylvania after accepting a job promotion, so I couldn't just do any peanut butter cake. It had to have buckeyes on it! Here are a few pictures of it.

Butter London
Today I will be showing you guys a few Butter London swatches. Butter London was one of the first polishes I got that was a little more pricey than I was used to. There are polishes that cost more, but I was accustomed to $5.00 max at the drug store. Once I splurged on Butter London I realized there was a reason these types of polishes cost more. Butter London Nail Lacquers are 7-free. Basically that means that they do not
add formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, DBP, toluene, xylene or
ethyl tosylamide to its nail formulas. In layman's terms - it's better for your nails! in addition to being 7-free, you get better coverage, an easier formula to work with, and a polish that dries to a glossy even finish.

Blast from the Past!
About 5 years ago I had a nail blog called "For the Love of Nail Polish!" it fell to the wayside as I went on with my life, but I have to say that my love for nail polish has not! I decided that I wanted to start a blog up again, but something a little more me. Of course it will take time to build things up again, but for now I wanted to share some of my old posts from the site. Hope you enjoy!
